The EZprep 123 is a semi-automated sample preparation system designed for the efficient cleanup of dioxins, PCBs, and PBDEs in various matrices. It employs green technology by eliminating the use of dichloromethane (DCM), enhancing cleanup efficiency while significantly reducing solvent consumption.

Depending on the sample matrix and lipid content, the EZprep 123 processes samples in 30 to 45 minutes. Its design allows for the simultaneous cleanup of up to six samples, achieving high recoveries and excellent precision for all analytes. With the capacity to process up to 64 samples per day, it offers high throughput suitable for demanding laboratory environments.

The system is designed to minimize solvent usage, requiring as little as 90 ml per sample. This efficiency is achieved through column kits tailored to different lipid contents, ensuring optimal solvent use for each sample type.

Operating the EZprep 123 is straightforward, involving three simple steps: filling solvent reservoirs, installing columns, and initiating the process. The rotary workstation automates sample loading, elution, and fraction collection, delivering cleaned samples in GC vials ready for GCMS analysis.

The system’s compact design allows multiple units to be placed within a single hood, facilitating the processing of hundreds of samples per day. Additionally, the absence of electronic or mechanical components prone to failure ensures reliable operation with minimal downtime.

In summary, the EZprep 123 offers a fast, efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for the preparation of samples containing dioxins, PCBs, and PBDEs, making it an invaluable tool for laboratories seeking to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
